Vulnerable moment: Gil and I began our journey on YouTube in January with clarity. I always viewed YouTube as a place to learn and share information about your business. However, we were surprised to discover that YouTube is a business in itself.
To generate income on YouTube, you need 1000 subscribers, and 4000 watch hours sounds easy. Not ! Well, we already had 1086 subscribers when we began our journey in January and 42,000 subscribers on Instagram, 5000 friends on Facebook, and 4000 likes on our business page on Facebook.
Posting daily and editing videos for thirteen hours, "making perfect thumbnails," looking for keywords, and understanding the algorithm is the most insignificant part of the YouTube journey. Trust me, Gil and I also watched hundreds of videos before discovering the solution to what was missing.
After feeling overwhelmed and confused when listening to most YouTube experts, vets, and pros, Gil found this charming animated Christ follower who shared the essence of what has made him a remarkable impact leader and a success .
He explains the algorithm, the importance of schedules and strategies, and the value of being consistent, relentless, and committed to your why. But this remarkable impact leader created and shared the gift of what we all need a plan to connect and belong with like mind creators. Anthony O'Neill created a community where he shares everything he has learned, practices, and beliefs. He reminded me of what made me successful as a hairstylist.
It wasn't that I was the most skilled Hair Care Professional; it was because I cared and connected and got to know and love the people I served. I love what Anthony says" he doesn't want to grow bigger. He wants to go deeper". To me, success is not numbers success is connection.
Success is getting to know people and them getting to know you. Gil and I have been very transparent in our YouTube and podcast journey. Now it's time for us to get to know you all. Somewhere along the way, we forget that life is about people and connections, not numbers.
